WORK

My work is firmly planted in vulnerable communities of the South, especially queer and transgender communities and communities of color. Much of this work strives to address institutional and systemic inequities and other oppressions which marginalize communities that lack health equity or agency over their bodies. I am interested in assisting these communities create new paradigms for how they might operate within these systems of power, validating the vast knowledge of their lived experiences, centering their resilience as tactics of transformation, and exploring self-determination as a means of treatment.

I use public health as a fulcrum to social justice and community organizing, building community across difference to redefine health access as a means of liberation.
